Build a School International (BASI) founded in 2017 was inspired by a birthday party turned fundraiser, the simple premise of the guests giving collectively to a charitable cause in lieu of traditional birthday gifts became the first donations to help build up schools in rural Laos.
The birthday party proceeds contributed to seeding Tshirt sales and subsequent charity events including a poker party and a summer golf outing.
BASI continues to build momentum for donations, to inspire charitable giving of time and resources, and to expand into a movement of human connection and charity.
